Meal 3: Vichyssoise, Lamb with mustard and mint and Chocolate truffles
Alright, I have to say, the Vichyssoise was straight up AWESOME! and not difficult to make at all. However I think I messed up the lamb. In the picture (from the book) the gravy looked a lot thicker but mine came out very watery. Perhaps it’s different when you cook it in a pressure cooker? Or perhaps you were supposed to let it simmer and thicken and I forgot to do so :P
Anyway, it still tasted ok, so no harm done. We were so hungry! As for the Chocolate truffles, I should’ve left it to harden in the fridge for longer, but I was in a hurry so in the end it didn’t hold it’s shape - hence the very flat, shapeless chocolate truffles in the photo above :D Still it tasted amazing for something that is made using 3 ingredients!!
